Greetings from your 2013 NALS of Phoenix Board of Directors as we embark on our voyage to enhance our world by getting involved in new projects in fresh ways. Some of us will choose to travel to new destinations; others will enhance their knowledge and influence by certifying their competency skills. All of us will benefit from the reward of having undertaken projects that extend our reach. There are still officer and committee chair opportunities for the 2013 year: treasurer, historian, hotel liaison, and newsletter editor. If you’d like to enhance your world in one of these ways, please let an officer know; appointments will be confirmed at the February 7 board meeting.
The NALS of Arizona Winter Education Conference hosted by NALS of Yavapai County is set for January 25-26 at the Prescott Resort and Conference Center in Prescott, AZ. Register by January 21 at www.nalsofarizona.com.
We’ve pushed our February membership meeting back a week to give you some private time with your favorite Valentine buddies. Please invite your spouses, sweethearts and other special plus-ones to join us on February 21 and enjoy some comfort food as we explore the world of pre- and post-nuptial agreements with Jeffrey G. The NALS certification exams will be administered Saturday, March 3. Register at www.nals.org and check out the Online Study Group schedule while you’re there. NALS is offering a free one-year membership to students of accredited or ABA-approved legal studies or paralegal studies programs who take the ALS or PP certification exam.
