2019 Education Day Committee
The Education Committee is led by the Director of Education and is responsible for assisting the Direction of Education in planning Continuing Legal Education seminars. This year, the Education Committee intends to organize a Continuing Legal Education seminar in May 2019. We need volunteers to assist in identifying and contacting speakers, securing vendors and sponsors, creating flyers and other informational items, and marketing the event.
Half-Day in Court Committee
The Half-Day in Court Committee is responsible for planning a Half-Day in Court in conjunction with Law Day in May and/or Court Observance Week in October. This year, NALS of Phoenix plans to host Half-Day in Court in October. We need volunteers to assist in identifying and contacting a court, securing a location and speakers, securing vendors and sponsors, creating flyers and other informational items, and marketing the event.
Social Mixer Committee
The Social Mixer Committee plans and coordinates social events and gatherings with other associations and organizations to promote friendship and professional ties among NALS of Phoenix members and other local legal professionals.
Membership Social Committee
The Membership Social Committee works with the President-Elect and the Director of Membership to plan and coordinate the NALS of Phoenix Annual Membership Social which takes place in September. The Committee will plan the theme of the membership social along with organizing games, prizes, and decorations.
Holiday Party Committee
The Holiday Party Committee plans and coordinates the NALS of Phoenix Annual Holiday Party which takes place in December. The Committee will plan the theme of the Holiday Party along with games, prizes, decorations, charity donation drive, and the Holiday Party Raffle.
Installation Committee
The Installation Committee plans and coordinates the NALS of Phoenix Awards and Installation Banquet which takes place in January. The Committee will work with the President and President-Elect on member awards and presentations. The Installation Committee will be responsible for working with the President-Elect’s theme, planning and executing decorations, organizing the Awards & Installation Banquet Raffle, sending out letters and contacting businesses and organizations for raffle donations, and selling raffle tickets.
Ambassador Committee
The mail goal of an Ambassador is to make attending a NOP meeting a positive and inspiring experience where the guests will want to become members. Visitors and guests who experience a friendly and professional meeting are more likely to return to a NOP meeting, they will also tell others about their great experience. We want everyone to experience the best at our meetings.
The role of the Ambassador is extremely important. It is the Ambassador Team whose efforts will directly contribute to an abundant membership. Thank you for being a very important part of our team!
Legal Professionals Mixer Committee
(A joint venture between NALS of Phoenix, ALA, APA, MCAP, MCBA, and WiE.)
This is one of the year's largest gatherings. This committee will be working with volunteers from many different legal associations to put together a fun and memorable night of networking. There will be many jobs available, large and small.
