Joining NALS

Who Can Become a Member?

Any person who does work of a legal nature – those working in a law office (secretaries, file clerks, document clerks, administrators, legal assistants, paralegals, law librarians, and even attorneys), court personnel and judges, educators, students, and those employed by legal vendors (document service companies, legal copy companies, etc.) – can become a member of NALS. Each Member must also agree to comply with the NALS Code of Ethics and Code of Professional Responsibility.

Membership Types

  • Regular Membership – $145 per year*  (includes national ($130*) and local ($15) membership dues).
  • Associate Membership – $90 per year*  (includes national ($75*) and local ($15) dues). An Associate Membership applies to educators, judges and attorneys.
  • Student Membership – $44 per year* (includes national ($29*) and local ($15) membership dues). A Student Membership applies to those persons taking legal related courses with a minimum of 9 credit hours.

*There is a one time $10 processing fee for new members.

Education

NALS of Phoenix holds its monthly educational meetings on the second Thursday of each month beginning at 6:00 p.m. For more information on upcoming meetings, click below.

Meet new friends, reacquaint yourself with old ones, or connect with someone who may be a great referral source – the possibilities are endless!

Affinity Programs

NALS members receive a variety of discounts on such things as Federal Express, rental cars, air travel, insurance, and audio and web conferencing. These are just a few of the benefits NALS has to offer

How do I become a member?

It’s easy – just fill out the Membership Application and forward it to NALS along with your payment. Do not forget to send a copy to the NALS of Phoenix Membership Director, Deborah Sharp, PP, PLS.
